Welcome to the GHC website.

As the Director of the Global Harmonization Center (GHC), it is my honor to introduce this newly
launched center, building upon the legacy of the APEC Harmonization Center (AHC), which has been
dedicated to promoting regulatory convergence in the APEC region for over 15 years.

GHC continues the mission of advancing regulatory harmonization in medicinal product regulation,
expanding its reach beyond APEC to strengthen Korea’s leadership in global regulatory cooperation.
Established under the National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation (NIFDS) of the Ministry of
Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in the Republic of Korea, GHC serves as a hub for knowledge-sharing,
capacity-building, and policy development to contribute to international regulatory excellence and
harmonization.

Building on AHC’s achievements, GHC will actively collaborate with regulatory authorities, industry
leaders, academia, and international organizations to strengthen regulatory capacity and promote the
implementation of global standards. Through training programs, research initiatives, and strategic
partnerships, we aim to drive meaningful progress in regulatory harmonization, contributing to greater
quality assurance and transparency in healthcare systems worldwide.

As we embark on this new chapter, we remain committed to our vision of fostering regulatory
harmonization through education, collaboration, and innovation.
We look forward to working with stakeholders across the globe to advance regulatory excellence.
